Terms and Conditions for Ayla Health Membership:

Welcome to Ayla Health, a membership-based website owned and operated by The Healthy Eating Group Pty Ltd and founded by Kate Freeman. These Terms and Conditions govern your access and use of Ayla Health, including any content, products, services, and features available on the website.

Membership Levels:

Ayla Health offers three levels of membership: free, base and premium. The free membership level provides limited access to nutrition information, recipes, and habit-building tools. The base and premium membership level provides full access to all content and features available on the website. Premium members have unlimited coaching sessions included in their membership.

Payment and Cancellation:

The base and premium membership level requires payment of a monthly fee, depending on the selected membership plan. Base members can cancel their membership at any time without any lock-in contracts. Premium members can cancel their membership at any time, however, they must cover the costs of a minimum 3 month term. Refunds are not available for any unused portion of the membership fees. To cancel a membership, members can log in to their account on the website and follow the cancellation process.

Content:

All content on Ayla Health, including nutrition information, recipes, and habit-building tools, is provided for informational purposes only. The health professionals creating the content are Registered Nutritionists and Accredited Practising Dietitians. Ayla Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Please see your GP if you are concerned about your health.

Coaching Sessions:

Part of the program at Ayla Health includes the option to book video coaching sessions with a dietitian or nutritionist. These video sessions are provided at an additional cost to free and base members. They are included as part of the premium membership.

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy:

By booking an appointment with us you agree with our cancellation policy:

You can cancel or reschedule a coaching session without penalty with MORE than 24 hours notice.

Cancellations and reschedules of a coaching session made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a fee of $60 for 1 hour sessions and $30 for 30 minute sessions. This is to cover the cost of the time that the dietitian was rostered on to take your appointment.

There are no penalties for the free 30 minute sessions however, please do let us know if you can’t make it so the spot can be made available to another client.

Medicare:

Medicare rebates are available for individual coaching sessions with a dietitian. Not nutritionists.

Medicare rebates are available for patients with chronic conditions and complex care needs or individuals with eating disorders with a Medicare referral from their GP.

To be eligible for a rebate, clients must book in with a dietitian and have the documents provided by their GP.

We do not bulk bill. Clients are required to pay for the coaching package in full in at the time of booking the first session. They will then receive a rebate of $58 back from Medicare after they ATTEND each coaching session.

Patients are entitled to up to 5 rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan or 20 rebates under an Eating Disorder Management Plan.

You cannot claim both Medicare and Private Health on the SAME appointment.

Private Health:

If you have private health insurance, and book with one of our dietitians, you may be eligible to receive a rebate from your insurer depending on the inclusions and limits of your policy. The amount you are able to claim with your private health insurer will depend on your level of cover. You can enquire with your private health insurer prior to your coaching sessions if you wish. Simply provide your insurer with the cost of the consultation and the item numbers below to find out how much you will receive back. Video session item numbers:

Private health insurance does NOT cover your monthly membership fee for base and premium members.

Private health insurance does NOT cover sessions with a Nutritionist.

If your coaching is covered by your private health, it is at the discretion of your health insurance provider and out of our control. Please enquire with them directly to understand your cover. At the completion of your coaching package, we are able to send you a receipt outlining the dates you attended your sessions, in order for you to claim.

Governing Law:

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Any disputes arising from the use of Ayla Health will be resolved in the courts of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

Ayla Health reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Members are responsible for reviewing these Terms and Conditions regularly. Continued use of the website after any changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions.

By accessing and using Ayla Health, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the website.
