The goal of good nutrition is to eat a wide variety of foods so we get plenty of nutrients that our body will use to function well. As you’ve learned in previous modules, we do this through eating lots of whole foods. The natural extension of this principle is then understanding HOW MUCH of various foods your body needs. In this module you’ll learn how you can use a very simple framework to create balanced meals that meet your needs.

  • Understand the basic building blocks and proportions of a balanced meal.
  • Know the foods that fit within each category.
  • Start to create a balanced plate using common family meals.
