Many people try meal planning and as a result, they decide that meal planning is not for them! The main reason why this happens is because they become a slave to the meal plan, letting it dictate what, when and how much they eat, rather than creating a meal plan that serves them. In addition to this, it’s not a sustainable habit if your meal plan takes hours to prepare or doesn’t suit your thinking style! Have a think about the last time you tried a meal plan that wasn’t made to serve you. Was it expensive buying all that food? Was it exhausting cooking all these new recipes? Was it frustrating when it wasn’t appropriate for your whole family? Did you get hungry when it wasn’t enough food?

True meal planning is simply thinking ahead about what you’re going to eat in advance and making a plan so that most of your food decisions are made ahead of time and you can have the foods and ingredients you need ready to go. Part of the meal planning process is to ensure that the plan serves you and your needs. Not sure how to do that?
