Research shows that meal planning increases the likelihood of a person changing their food choices and sticking to an eating pattern that better supports their long-term health. Meal planning has also been shown as a key strategy that increases an individual’s diet quality and food variety. This is because thinking about what you’re going to eat in advance helps you consider all the nutritional factors of your food choices and helps you ensure you have the foods available in your home or work environment to eat.

Research also shows that an individual’s food, cooking and organisational skills determines their ability to successfully follow their meal plan and put it into action. This module will teach you essential food organisation skills so you can not only master the art of meal planning for YOUR life but also put your meal plan into practise in a realistic and sustainable way.
